What is affiliate coupon tracking?

Affiliate coupon tracking, or simply coupon tracking, is a unique feature offered in Post Affiliate Pro which allows the tracking of affiliate commissions. Simply by the use of coupons, affiliate merchants can track their affiliate’s performance. Coupon codes are linked to specific affiliate accounts with affiliate coupon tracking. Any time the customer redeems a coupon, the affiliate linked with the coupon is credited as a referral, just as if that customer had used a referral URL link.

How can you benefit from coupons?

A coupon gives your affiliates an incentive to advertise your website more often by offering discounts on products. Various coupon types are available in Post Affiliate Pro, and you are able to create several coupon groups (promotions) within one campaign. Any of the campaigns in your affiliate program can display an unlimited number of coupons and coupon banners.

You may, for example, have a 5% discount promotion and a 20% discount promotion at the same time. You can generate separate sets of coupons for each promotion, even with a multi-tier system, so affiliates can request coupons for both promotions. If you want, you can also choose to make the promotions public or private, in which case you can choose only the top affiliates. You have complete control over the promotions.

As soon as customers use promotional coupons which are received from a third-party affiliate, Post Affiliate Pro’s affiliate coupon tracking feature automatically keeps track of which promotion the coupon belongs to, which affiliate provided the coupon to the customer, and which campaign it is associated with. In this manner, you will have the ability to analyze when conversions are taking place and how much commission your affiliates get paid.
